The exempt purpose of Pleasantville Community Television, Inc., (PCTV) is to provide the people of the Village of Pleasantville and whomsoever they shall designate, access to cable television channels subject to the Cable Franchise agreement between the Village, Cablevision, and Verizon its successors and/or assigns, and subject to the laws of the State of New York, the rules and regulations of the New York State Public Service Commission and the Federal Communications Commission. To enhance the quality of life of the residents of the Village by building a sense of cohesiveness and community, the Corporation will provide educational opportunities for all residents, increase avenues of communication among residents, publicize and cover Village activities and events and provide an opportunity for self expression by Village residents.

To accomplish its mission and to reflect the wealth of knowledge and interest of the residents, PCTV strives to involve the community in the programming and operation. Our studio facility is located within the Village of Pleasantville and program-originating capabilities will exist in various places in the Village. PCTV provides programming over the public access community dedicated cable channel (the “P” of PEG).

PCTV is a not-for-profit corporation registered with the State of New York and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization under section 501 (c)(3), and, is exempt from State and Federal taxes.

We serve the communities of Pleasantville, Chappaqua and Millwood, Town and village of Ossining, Briarcliff, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Hawthorne, Thornwood and Valhalla.
