News From The Village of Pleasantville – Winter 2022

Dear Pleasantville Neighbors,

As we look toward the end of the winter season, we’re cautiously optimistic that COVID risks are easing. At this writing, we’re planning for the spring and summer events that are great traditions here — Pleasantville Day, the Memorial Day ceremonies, the Fire Department parade, and the Pleasantville Music Festival. Please help sustain this good progress with vaccinations and boosters

Among many stories of Pleasantville residents and businesses helping one another in this difficult time, I send a special thanks to our residents who work in healthcare — and to Phelps and Northern Westchester, our two Northwell Health hospitals that have provided our community with Covid information, care, testing and immunizations. Progress continues on many fronts. We’re very close to having a contract for Manville Road improvements (between Grant and Tompkins), and that work is expected to launch this spring. Design drawings for a new pool are in the works
— now expanded to address the storm water issues that we saw during Ida. That storm affected several neighborhoods,
